What do Rainforests do, and What are Being Done to Them?

Rainforests are at work all of the time. They do many things that help us and other animals in every day life. All of the trees that live in the rainforests take in carbon dioxide, and release oxygen to help us breathe. They also provide food for the animals that live in the rainforests, such as mango's, and some of the animals also eat the leaves that grow on the trees. The trees in the rainforests also provide shelter for all of the animals that live in the area by giving them a place to sleep, that is safe from any predators. Rainforests have many different types of plants and animals, and also hold the most of them in the whole world! Rainforests, however wonderful they are, are being destroyed every second because we are cutting down plants and trees that animals live in, killing both plants and animals. Many people have been trying to stop this destruction, and will hopefully continue to do so.

Try to find ways you can help conserve the rainforests and all the animals in it!
